After losing their cherished family cabin to one of California's most devastating wildfires, the owners of this remarkable land sought a fresh start by entrusting us to rebuild with a thoughtful, context-sensitive approach. Our goal was to create a cabin with a smaller footprint and enhanced fire resistance.
Strategically placed, the cabin maximizes breathtaking views of the creek and the rolling hills of Mendocino. To further bolster fire defense, we implemented an updated sprinkler system and added a cistern for water storage, ensuring the cabin remains both safe and sustainable.
