The goal of testing this product was to streamline the finishing process for sheetrock’s priming and painting by introducing custom-colored and textured fiberglass sheets in 1m and 2m wide rolls. The material proved to be easy and effective to cut, glue, and seam, this proof to be worth installing on ceilings, practically seamless application.
However, two main factors led to pausing its adoption as the standard:
1-The process is slightly more expensive than traditional sheetrock finishing.
2-Cracking and bowing were observed in some finished modules after transportation.
The next step is to review the application process and determine the glue failure reason, test again…
